Job Overview
We are a startup specializing in gas-to-electric vehicle conversions. We're looking for a skilled mechanic to handle the mechanical side of our conversions – removing gas powertrains, installing electric motors, and doing basic structural modifications.
What You'll Do:
- Remove engines, transmissions, and related components from gas vehicles
- Install EV components – electric motors, controllers, batteries, cooling systems, mounting brackets, and driveline connections
- Do basic structural fabrication and welding – brackets, frame modifications, mounting points
- Use air tools, electric impact wrenches, welders, grinders, and other shop equipment
- Follow safety procedures at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Experience removing engines and transmissions independently
- Some welding and fabrication experience (structural brackets, mounts, etc.)
- Comfortable with pneumatic and electric power tools
- Solid mechanical knowledge of vehicle chassis and drivetrain
- Safety-conscious and reliable
- Basic knowledge of 12V or high-voltage systems is a plus
