Kitchen Support – Dishwasher / Prep (Festival Season & Long-Term)

The Starlight is a fast-growing, independently owned restaurant in the heart of downtown Stratford, known for seasonal, house-made food, live music, and packed festival energy. As we expand our food program under new leadership and move into our busiest time of year, we’re building a strong, reliable kitchen team to keep pace.
We’re hiring a Dishwasher / Prep team member to support daily prep and service operations. This role is essential to keeping the kitchen organized, clean, and moving efficiently during high-volume services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student or someone looking to break into hospitality and gain real experience in a professional, fast-paced kitchen environment or someone with some experience looking to hone their skills.
Seasonal (festival) contracts available, with potential to transition into long-term roles. Day and evening shifts required.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean, organized dish station during busy service
- Uphold strict sanitation and food safety standards
- Assist with inventory storage and rotation (FIFO)
- Support basic prep tasks as directed
- Complete opening and closing cleaning procedures consistently

- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Kitchen experience is helpful, but not required
