We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Grade 7 Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging instruction to middle school students, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic and personal growth. Start Date: September 1, 2026
Salary: $6600 per month (10-month fixed-length contract)
*Only offered to CoQ teachers or teachers who have a completed application with the Teacher Certification Branch for a CoQ. Subject Restricted Teachers are invited to apply.**Teaching experience in Canada is recognized for a possible higher starting salary for CoQ teachers
Qualification Requirements:
- Valid Teaching Certification in BC (Teaching certificates in other Canadian provinces and territories are acceptable as long as an application has been completed for a BC Teaching Certificate)
- You must be eligible to be employed in Canada. Special attention will be given to applicants who are certified to or can be certified to teach in British Columbia.
- Preferrable: Teaching experience within Canada
- Ability to work full time
- Demonstrated knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of instructional specialty required
- Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives including the needs and abilities of students required
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents required
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written required
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with BC curriculum standards for Grade 7 students.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations; provide constructive feedback.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities or requiring special education services.
- Incorporate technology tools such as Microsoft Office and other computer applications to enhance instructional delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioural reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Support students' social-emotional development and promote positive behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and extracurricular activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Pay: Up to $6,600.00 per month
