Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and deliver exceptional patient care. We are a small family practice located in the Carlisle. This role would be for Mondays and Tuesdays to take over for a long time RDH that is retiring. We tailor our care to the needs of our patients. Your energetic and compassionate approach will ensure a positive experience for every patient while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence. We follow all current IPAC, CDHO and RCDSO guidelines. Paid sick days, uniform and CE allowance. Anticipated start date is the beginning of October 2026.
Responsibilities
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient examinations by documenting medical histories and current dental concerns
- Maintain a sterile environment by following infection control protocols and sterilizing instruments
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as updating patient records using Dentrix software
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient care delivery
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and ensuring their comfort throughout procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
- Experience working in a dental office setting
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Proficiency in hand and ultrasonic instrumentation
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
