Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and food handling to ensure timely service and quality presentation
- Support cooking activities by following recipes and kitchen procedures accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to meet food safety standards
- Help with food storage, inventory management, and proper labeling of ingredients
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols during all food handling processes
- Support serving staff by preparing plates or portions as needed for efficient service
- Participate in routine kitchen cleaning tasks, including sanitation of surfaces and equipment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food handling practices
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene protocols in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration and multitasking
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
