Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills within a dynamic corporate environment. Experience with accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles are essential for success in this role.
Duties
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Support bookkeeping activities, including data entry and maintenance of financial records
- Aid in budgeting, account analysis, and financial reporting tasks
- Help prepare documentation for auditing processes and ensure compliance with company policies
- Manage payroll processing and related recordkeeping
- Conduct regular account reviews to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly
- Collaborate with team members on various financial projects to support overall financial health of the organization
Qualifications
- Proven experience or familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, and account reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles, auditing procedures, payroll management, and financial services is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently
- Basic proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Prior experience or coursework in accounting or finance is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
