Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mover/Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the transportation and delivery of household furniture and goods, ensuring that items are handled with care and delivered to customers in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and have a commitment to providing excellent customer service while performing heavy lifting and operating vehicles safely.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload items from trucks and other vehicles.
- Operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods to various locations.
- Assist in packing, wrapping, and securing items for transport.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the clients home and truck.
- Perform routine inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete moving tasks.
Skills
- Previous moving experience preferred.
- Ability to operate oversized transit van or Uhaul sized trucks safely.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting, often exceeding 50 pounds.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Being a bonded team, working with seniors, a successful applicant must be able to pass a clear police criminal records check for vulnerable persons
- Requires a Valid G class driving license, with a clear drivers history - no tickets in past 5 years, is required for insurance purposes to operate company vehicles.
