Job Overview
I’m looking for a creative, funny, and detail-oriented Video Editor to join my YouTube team.
The channel (https://www.youtube.com/@themikericciofficial) focuses on reacting to and discussing viral Reddit stories—relationship drama, AITA posts, dating disasters, workplace horror stories, and all the chaotic internet moments that make people laugh, cringe, and debate in the comments.
I’m looking for someone who doesn’t just cut footage together, but genuinely understands storytelling, comedic timing, pacing, and what keeps people watching. The right editor knows when to zoom in for a reaction, when to let a moment breathe, when to add the perfect meme or sound effect, and how to make every minute feel engaging.
You’ll be working closely with me to turn raw recordings into polished, entertaining videos that feel dynamic from start to finish. This includes editing, motion graphics, captions, sound design, B-roll, and visual gags that elevate the content without overwhelming it. If you naturally think, “This joke would land even better with this edit,” you’re probably the kind of person I’m looking for.
A strong understanding of YouTube retention, viewer psychology, and modern editing styles is a huge plus. Bonus points if you’re already familiar with creators in the reaction and commentary space, because you’ll have a good sense of the pacing and energy we’re aiming for.
More than anything, I’m looking for someone who loves making great content, enjoys collaborating, isn’t afraid to pitch ideas, and wants to help build something people genuinely look forward to watching every week.
If that sounds like you, I’d love for you to submit!
