Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to an individual in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for an individual with a disability by offering personal care, companionship, and support in their daily activities. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively in a family home.
Duties
- Assist client with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of client.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for client.
- Administer medication as prescribed and assist with medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Assisting client with mobility and transfers.
- Collaborate with Employer to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Skills
- Ability to perform moderate lifting safely and effectively when assisting the client.
- Proficient in meal preparation that meets dietary restrictions or preferences of the client.
- Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with the client and their family.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring quality care.
Requirements
- A vulnerable sector check
- valid drivers licence (is a plus but not necessary)
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Work Location: In person
