We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook, Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking and that the kitchen operates smoothly. Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring vegetables and proteins.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations during all stages of food preparation and handling.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management for restocking.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setup and breakdown of workstations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is required.
- Experience in meal preparation, serving, or handling food within the food industry will be beneficial.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment are essential traits for success in this role.
