Sushi Apprentice (Opportunity to Become a Nigiri Chef)
MSSM Edmonton is looking for a motivated Sushi Apprentice who is passionate about sushi and eager to build a career in the industry. This position starts as a part-time role focused on dishwashing, kitchen support, and learning the fundamentals of sushi preparation. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our team and eventually become a full-time Nigiri Chef through hands-on training.
What You'll Do
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean, organized kitchen
- Support the chefs with daily kitchen tasks
- Restock and organize ingredients and supplies
- Keep all workstations clean and sanitized
- Learn proper knife skills, food safety, and sushi preparation
- Train in nigiri techniques under experienced sushi chefs
- Take initiative to help wherever needed

Previous sushi or kitchen experience is an asset, but not required. We value attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn above all else.

Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
