MCA Contracting Ltd. is a family-owned heavy civil construction company specializing in bridge rehabilitation, road construction, municipal infrastructure, concrete restoration, water and sewer installation, and mine site projects throughout Northern Ontario.

Position Summary
Successful candidates will work as part of our construction crews on a variety of heavy civil construction projects. Depending on experience and qualifications, responsibilities may include general labour, concrete work, traffic control, underground servicing, bridge rehabilitation, and other construction-related duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform general construction labour duties.
- Assist with bridge, road, and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Install, repair, and maintain concrete structures.
- Assist with excavation, grading, pipe installation, and backfilling.
- Set up and maintain traffic control zones when required.
- Operate hand and power tools safely.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials.
- Assist equipment operators and skilled tradespeople.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site.
- Follow all company, client, and site-specific health and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience is considered an asset but not required.
- Experience in concrete work, road construction, underground utilities, or traffic control is an asset.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physically capable of performing manual labour, including lifting 50 lbs or more.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid Class G Driver's Licence is preferred.
- Willingness to travel throughout Northern Ontario and work on remote project sites when required.

- Traffic Control Person (Flagging)
- Working at Heights
- WHMIS
- First Aid & CPR
- Confined Space
- Elevated Work Platform
- Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
- Mine site orientation or experience
- AZ or DZ Driver's Licence
