Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker for in-home care. This role is essential in providing high-quality support to a person in need of assistance with all facets of everyday life. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to perform various care giving tasks in the home. The individual is bedridden and suffers from severe ME/CFS (Chronic fatigue syndrome). Must have a cell phone.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, eating, and eliminating.
- Meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Light housekeeping responsibilities.
- Administer medication if needed as prescribed and monitor for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting once per day as needed to ensure client safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment adhering to hygiene standards.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client health or behavior to family members.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
- Ability to adapt to changes in clients schedule is a must.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in care-giving, home care, or assisted living settings is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and assist client with mobility challenges.
- Ability to plan ahead and follow a daily schedule/routine.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Due to the nature of the disability, you must be able to work with little verbal interaction and maintain a quiet living space.
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
