We have an exciting opportunity for Temporary Full-Time Rehabilitation Care Workers to work with clients in the Langley area. This position runs until July 01, 2027. Job Summary:
In consultation with the Program Manager, the Rehabilitation Care Worker supports persons with disabilities by providing life skills training and support services for clients regarding issues such as personal care, access to community leisure programs, housekeeping duties, planning and preparing meals, booking medical appointments and organizing a weekly schedule. The Rehabilitation Care Worker empowers the client(s) to perform all aspects of daily living as independently as possible, providing support and intervention where necessary.
Qualifications:
- Recent related experience working with the brain injured or other disabled population
- in a group home setting
- Current certification and documents in the following areas: emergency first aid or equivalent, CPR level A, driver’s license class 5
- Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education, training and experience is a charitable, not-for-profit society, incorporated on October 3, 1973 (No.10478) Providing Community Based Residential Rehabilitation Programs to Survivors of Brain Injury and persons with disabilities for over 40 years.
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- The use of a personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and other outings

Schedule:
Friday-Tuesday : 10am-6pm
The successful applicant for this position will be required to provide the following documentation:
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License (Class 5 learners, Class 7, and International Drivers Licenses are not acceptable)
- An acceptable 5 year Driving History Report from ICBC
- Proof of a recent Negative Tuberculosis Test
- A Valid Emergency First Aid Certificate with CPR Level A
- Proof of any related Diplomas, or other Education Certificates
- The Contact Information for at least 2 employment references
Pay: $29.76 per hour
