We are a small family farm, between Ponoka and Gull Lake, looking to hire someone for spring seeding season and general work around the farm/fields. We have 140 dairy cattle and 120 beef. We have just moved into a new dairy barn and have 4 Lely robots. We combine our own grain. Having a Class 3 licence and airbrakes is a bonus for grain hauling.
Requirements of the position:
- Good at working with cattle
- Good at operating farm equipment
- Valid drivers license in Alberta
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Must be able to speak/understand/read either English or German
- Must be able to start right away
Assets (not needed but bonus):
- experience with milking, with Lely robotic milking system.
- experience with construction
- Class 3 license, and air brake
Living is available on site. Hours and wages will be negotiated in person.
