Westcore Links Inc. is a cross-border flatbed carrier headquartered in Nisku, Alberta, with terminals in Tillsonburg, Ontario and Houston, Texas. We operate a fleet of 50+ trucks and 70+ trailers — late-model, dealer-maintained equipment. Our specialty is heavy haul, over-dimensional, and full truckload freight moving across Canada and the United States.
We're growing and hiring experienced oversize specialists to join the team.
Compensation
- $0.60/mile base rate — single flatbed
- Oversize premiums: $0.08 to $0.22/mile on top of base — earning up to $0.82/mile
- Super loads (over 13' wide / 18' high) — premium rates negotiated above $0.82/mile
- Tarp pay, layover pay, detention pay, and multi-stop pay — all paid on top of mileage
- Vacation pay built into all rates
Top performers running consistent oversize lanes are clearing $110,000+ annually.
The Work
You'll be running long-haul flatbed and oversize freight across Canada and the United States. Routes primarily out of Alberta with cross-border lanes into the US — including runs through Ontario and into Texas, the Midwest, and beyond.
We specialize in heavy haul and over-dimensional loads. If you know how to move wide, tall, and heavy freight safely, we want to talk to you.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Planning routes and coordinating with dispatch and logistics on permits and escorts
- Loading, securing, and tarping freight to spec
- Handling freight documents, including customs paperwork, bills of lading, and packing lists
- Completing electronic logs and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns
- Representing Westcore at every stop — professionalism matters
You'll be assigned your own truck. We invest in our equipment so you can focus on the road.
What You Need
- Valid Class 1 licence and clean abstract
- Valid passport for cross-border travel
- Minimum 3 years commercial driving experience
- Minimum 2 years cross-border flatbed experience
- Minimum 2 years heavy haul and over-dimensional experience
- Proficient in English (reading and writing)
- Familiarity with Low Pro Step Deck, Curtain Sides, and RGN trailers
- Ability to load, unload, tarp, and secure freight
- Able to understand specialized permits, routing, and use of GPS devices
- FAST/TWIC card is an asset — Westcore will pay for drivers to obtain either or both

Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
