Hi there, we’re Article. Since 2013, we have been redefining the furniture industry one sofa at a time. It’s not easy — it requires solving challenging, meaningful problems. This is where you come in. As our Paralegal, you'll own our contract pipeline, keep our corporate compliance tight, and act as the operational engine that keeps our lean legal team moving fast.
In our Legal department, we need a commercially minded operational partner to support our Head of Legal in managing corporate governance, regulatory filings, and day-to-day legal operations. This fits into our larger need to scale our operations seamlessly across retail, e-commerce, and logistics—ensuring our corporate records are immaculate, our compliance is tight, and our lean team can move fast.
Within your first few months, you’d get up to speed on our corporate record-keeping, organize our legal files, and master our day-to-day administrative workflows. In a year, you’ll be proud to say you’ve built a highly organized, efficient legal operations foundation that keeps the business secure and compliant.
As a Particle (people of Article), you will have a high level of autonomy to solve challenging, meaningful problems the best way you can. That means you’re trusted to explore solutions you believe will work best (you’re the expert, after all). You’ll do all this while growing your skills within a company that is redefining the furniture industry.
You'll be joining a lean, highly collaborative legal team reporting directly to our Head of Legal. We act as proactive partners to almost every team at Article—including Product, Finance, People, and Operations. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role where you'll have a direct hand in shaping how our legal function operates.
We are a hybrid team - you'll be in our Vancouver office 3 days per week (Monday to Wednesday).
You’ll be part of a collaborative Legal team working closely with our Head of Legal and business leads to manage our legal operations and keep our corporate governance tight.

- Keep us compliant by supporting corporate compliance, extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulations, and annual corporate filings.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Hiring:
At Article, we value authenticity and transparency in our hiring process. We want to get to know the real you, not an AI-generated version. Here are some guidelines around Artificial Intelligence in Hiring and what we expect from you.
From us, you can expect that humans make hiring decisions.
Criminal Background Checks:
Having a criminal record does not restrict your employment at Article. Criminal background checks are only conducted with your permission and after a conditional employment offer has been accepted.
The decision if a criminal record will restrict your employment will be made on a case-by-case basis, where we conduct an "individualized assessment"—a reasoned, evidence-based determination as to whether the applicant's past conviction has a direct and adverse relationship with the specific job duties of the position.
Work Authorization:
Unless otherwise stated, all open roles require legal authorization to work in the location where the job is based, without requiring VISA sponsorship.
For US-based roles, Article participates in E-Verify
