Job Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
Reports to the Site Superintendent
- Ensure that safety protocols are performed on the site by WorkSafe BC and company standards.
- Assist in providing safety orientation to new trades and workers on site.
- Support the Construction team and trade/supply partners in daily operations on site.
- Support operations to ensure all certifications are valid and up to date.
- Facilitate pre-employment and post incident testing, investigations, and compliance.
- Ensure safety protocols and measures are being adhered to
- Daily site inspections
- Communicate with team members – all knowing, what’s going on, where, with who, at all times
- Assist in daily reporting as directed by the Site Superintendent
- Ensure that the site is clean, organized, and safe.
- Work closely with the Site Superintendent to maintain positive relationships with site staff.
- Deal with all Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
- Maintain employment standards and company policies.
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of office equipment
- Thorough understanding of office management procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Able to find work in slow times
- Level 3 first aid training
- Traffic Management Certificate is an asset
