Route Sales Representative (Full-Time)

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (Wednesday and Sunday off)
About the Opportunity
An independent Canada Bread franchisee serving the Okanagan is seeking a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused Route Sales Representative to join our team. This position combines driving, merchandising, customer service, and sales development to ensure fresh bakery products are delivered safely, displayed effectively, and available to consumers every day.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, building strong customer relationships, and growing sales within an established route. No previous route sales experience is required—full paid training is provided to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a route delivery vehicle while following all traffic and safety regulations.
- Deliver fresh bakery products to grocery stores and retail customers throughout the Okanagan.
- Merchandise products to maximize visibility, freshness, and sales.
- Rotate stock and remove stale products according to company standards.
- Build positive relationships with store managers and retail staff.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales through additional displays, new product placements, and promotional activity.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and recommend appropriate product orders.
- Execute merchandising programs and seasonal promotions.
- Complete daily route paperwork and handheld device reporting accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional delivery vehicle.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in route sales, merchandising, grocery, retail, direct store delivery (DSD), or customer service is an asset but not required.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Sales-focused with the ability to identify opportunities to grow business.
- Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working early mornings.
- Basic smartphone or handheld device experience.
