Wilco Contractors is hiring a Journeyman AUTO Mechanic/Technician to work with our team in Calgary.
The successful candidate will have knowledge/background and experience in the AUTO/FLEET or SMALL ENGINE Mechanic Sector.
This position will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and providing repairs to our GMC Truck Fleet Vehicles.
Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Diagnosing, Servicing, fixing/repairing our Fleet vehicles/Small Equipment
- Conducting regular maintenance on all the shop equipment and vehicles.
- Examine equipment and fleet to ensure functionality.
- Inquire about needed parts/service if necessary, from local shops and vendors and place orders with approval.
- Follow the company Safety Program.
- Maintain a safe working environment and identifying any hazards day-to-day.
- Demonstrate safety leadership and safe work practices at all times
- Troubleshoot and service various maintenance, construction, and snow/ice removal equipment in both a shop environment and in the field as required
- Utilize manuals and diagnostic equipment to perform work duties
- Maintain work orders
- Assist in the management of repairs
- Use mechanical lifting devices and winches
Basic/Required Qualifications;
- Trade certification, Journeyman Red Seal
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License and proof of current Driver’s Abstract
- Own tools
- Ability to manage tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and succeed

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
