Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy.
- Provide patient counseling on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Perform medication reviews and provide clinical services such as immunizations, adaptations, and prescribing (where authorized).
- Maintain compliance with Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) standards and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee pharmacy assistant and ensure safe, efficient workflow.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold Stratica Total Care Pharmacy’s reputation for patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Pharmacist is licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
- Pharmacist has authorization to administer injections and perform additional prescribing is an asset.
- Strong communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Previous community pharmacy experience preferred.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time pharmacist position: Monday to Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM. No evenings, weekends or statutory holidays. Part-time pharmacist hours are negotiatible and flexible, but need to be consistent week to week.
- Competitive hourly rate based on pharmacists experience.
