Store Manager - Full Time - Arabella Jewelry, Carrefour Laval
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our Arabella Jewelry location at Carrefour Laval. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management to maintain a high-performing store environment.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the store team, including recruiting, training, and developing staff to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
- Manage daily operations such as cash handling, POS transactions, merchandising, and inventory control
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and market share
- Oversee purchasing decisions and pricing strategies to optimize profitability
- Monitor store performance through sales analysis, budgeting, and reporting; adjust plans accordingly
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and legal regulations
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and foster a positive work environment
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction levels
- Coordinate marketing initiatives to promote the store and attract new customers
- Manage administrative tasks including payroll processing, bookkeeping, and record keeping
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales management with supervising experience in a jewelry or luxury retail environment
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills in both bilingual (English/French) or multilingual settings
- Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising software, and basic math for pricing and bookkeeping tasks
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Skilled in negotiation, marketing strategies, and sales management techniques
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff, as well as team management
- Sound knowledge of budgeting, payroll administration, cash handling procedures, and administrative processes
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to analyze sales data for strategic decision-making and implement effective promotional campaigns
- Strong time management skills with the capacity to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously
