Description:
Reporting to the Director, Older Adult Rehabilitation, Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, the Manager is responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient patient services within a matrix management structure and the overall administration and coordination of services provided by staff in the Speech-Language Pathology Service. The Manager also has program management responsibility for programs assigned such as Speech-Language Pathology, Feeding & Swallowing Service, Language, Speech & Hearing Intervention, Resonance Service, Voice Service, Volunteer Services and Patient Advisory Council, Spiritual Care, Indigenous Wellness. An inspiring leader supporting staff to focus their work activities within the context of person-centred care, accomplishing the professional service, program and site goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active registration in good standing with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience in Speech-Language pathology. OR A member of a regulated profession other than Speech-Language Pathology, in good standing in the relevant college/association. Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience. Minimum 3-5 years related clinical management experience.

Knowledge: Solid knowledge of patient care service delivery models and systems. Knowledge of management/leadership processes. Working knowledge of health care information sources. Knowledge of health care reform. Advanced computer literacy. Skills/Abilities/Competencies: Ability to envision progressive patient care services consistent with a reformed health care system. Preferred Qualifications:
Post-graduate education in management and/or leadership is preferred.
