Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Renovations Handyman to join our team, responsible for performing a variety of repair, renovation, and maintenance tasks across residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role requires a versatile professional capable of handling several tasks, including restoration, kitchen installation, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and painting. The Renovations Handyman will ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and renovations efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.
- Conduct carpentry tasks such as framing, drywall installation, door/window fitting, and cabinetry.
- Perform restoration work including surface repairs and refinishing to restore properties to their original condition.
- Apply caulking and construction painting techniques for finishing touches on projects.
- Install plumbing fixtures and troubleshoot plumbing issues as needed.
- Install flooring materials such as hardwood, laminate, or tile; lay tiles with precision for aesthetic appeal.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or renovation work is required.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation is highly desirable.
- Experience with restoration projects or specialized skills such as welding or flooring installation is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of renovation work. Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
