Laboratory Technicians are responsible for various general laboratory duties, in such areas as Sample Receiving and Sample Preparation. Laboratory Technicians will adhere strictly to GLP and GNP guidelines, as instructed during onboard training.

Core Responsibilities:
- Receiving, sorting, processing, labeling of samples in an accurate, timely, and consistent manner.
- Logging and validating samples for testing.
- Accurate and timely data collection, analysis and interpretation, and accurate record keeping.
- Adherence to laboratory SOPs, Quality Assurance and Quality Control protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
- Cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory stations and general facilities.
- Supporting laboratory technicians, chemists and scientists as instructed.
- Entering/recording data in LIMS and other records to be verified and validated by senior lab staff.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma/Certification from a recognized Laboratory Technician, Biotechnology or similar program .
- 1-2 years of laboratory experience.
- Preferred experience in GLP, GMP background.
- Strong work ethic, initiative, punctuality and following through on commitments.
- Proficiency in excel, database user-interfaces, and query software.
- Effective time and task management.
- Great organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate knowledge of GMP and ISO 17025 requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- LIMS experience is an asset.
- Cannabis testing experience an asset.
