Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to support the development and well-being of children in our care. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, including those with disabilities, and possess a strong background in early childhood education and caregiving. Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor children's activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and learning
- Assist children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap times
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities as necessary
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding child's progress and needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area to promote safety and hygiene
- Observe children's behavior for developmental milestones or concerns and report findings accordingly
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience working with children preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and caregiving best practices
- Strong ability to engage children through teaching, play, and nurturing interactions
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and team members
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Ability to create a safe, supportive environment that promotes learning and growth
- Relevant certifications such as CPR or first aid are advantageous but not mandatory
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
