Job Overview
We are seeking a caring and responsible Home Childcare Provider/Nanny to support families by providing attentive and nurturing care for children in a safe and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for child development, excellent caregiving skills, and the ability to create a positive atmosphere that promotes learning and well-being. This role involves working closely with families to meet their children's needs, ensuring their safety, and supporting their growth through various activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, ensuring their safety at all times
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to children's dietary needs and preferences
- Engage children in educational activities, play, and developmental exercises to promote learning and social skills
- Assist with daily routines such as dressing, bathing, and nap times
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing light housekeeping tasks related to children’s belongings and play areas
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing appropriate care as needed
- Foster a positive, nurturing relationship that encourages independence, curiosity, and confidence
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, milestones, and any concerns
Skills
- Experience working with children of different ages in a caregiving or educational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children, including meal planning and preparation skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus, demonstrating patience and adaptability
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to nurturing children’s emotional well-being
- Ability to perform light cleaning related to children's care areas to maintain hygiene standards
- Teaching abilities that support early childhood learning through engaging activities
- Cooking skills for preparing balanced meals and snacks tailored to children's needs
