Winnipeg Dragon Swim Club is currently seeking applications for the position of Assistant Coach for our 2026-2027 season. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and experienced coach who can engage swimmers ranging from ages 5 and up. The primary focus will be on stroke improvement, speed techniques, and swimmer development.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with youth swimmers;
- Certification in NCCP Swimming 101, MED, and RIS(preffered).;
- Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check;
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification;
- Prepared to develop and implement appropriate workout plans for assigned group(s) for each practice session;
- Ability to work with children of various abilities and create a fun and engaging environment;
- Strong leadership skills, with excellent organizational and communication abilities;
- Proven ability to motivate swimmers of all ages and skill levels;
- Ability to work effectively within a team;
- Maintain positive professional relationships with coaching staff, executive members, and parents;
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating enthusiasm, energy, and commitment;
- Adhere to the NCCP Coaching Code of Ethics.
Salary: $600- $800 per month (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Evenings on weekdays and Saturday afternoons. Part-time, approximately 6-8 hours per week.
