APE Maintenance is seeking experienced Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians (Off Road) for Fort Hills site, North of Fort McMurray.
Fly-in-fly-out is offered from Calgary & Edmonton. Camp is provided
Working Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Provide technical diagnosis and perform maintenance on various makes and models of heavy to medium size mining equipment.
- Perform equipment maintenance according to OEM standards, procedures and practices set out by industry and APE Maintenance.
- Recording information related to maintenance repairs and work completed.
- Communicate updates to supervisor to ensure goals are met.
- Report all incidents, damage and near misses immediately.
- Various other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- JM HET Certificate (Off Road)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License/Clean Driver's Abstract
- Able to work independently and as part of a professional maintenance team
- Minimum of 4 years field-based experience is required with troubleshooting & repairing heavy duty equipment
- Knowledge of site safety rules and regulations
Safety Training Prerequisites:
- CSTS 09/ OSSA or BSO / CSO Orientation
- Elevated Work Platform
- Basic Rigging & Overhead Crane
- Forklift Operator Certificate
- WHMIS
- Pre-Access D&A Testing
