Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter/ISM to join our construction and manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of construction, woodworking, Interior modifications, Framing/Deck building and installation projects. This role involves working on diverse projects such as Commercial and residential interior renovations, cabinetry, deck building/Ramps, flooring and railings installation, and more, requiring proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and technical schematics. We work in buildings that require high levels of security clearances and will require the worker to be bondable. At NSG we strive for precision and professionalism to ensure further work with our customers.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving
- Install cabinetry, flooring, tile, siding, roofing, and other building components
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for carpentry, woodworking, and assembly tasks
- Conduct restoration work including caulking, painting, and general repairs
- Assist with plumbing and electrical work when necessary, adhering to safety standards
- Follow industry safety standards
- Measure and cut materials precisely to specifications
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required by the project scope
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related roles such as carpentry, Finishing, or general handyman work
- Understanding of blueprint reading and schematics
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment
- Electrical or plumbing experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments

Pay: $27.50-$40.00 per hour
