General requirements/ Qualifications:
- Must Hold a Truck and Coach 310T with sound knowledge of shop practice
- A valid Driver Licence
- 4+ years experience as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic
- Ability to diagnose repair mechanical/electrical problems with minimum vehicle downtime
- Thorough understanding of electrical and hydraulic diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Must be prepared to work overtime occasionally if needed
- Exposed to exhaust, grease and shop noise
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills ( oral & written)
- Crane service experience is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Crane Mechanic will perform full repairs and maintenance on a variety of telescopic cranes and related equipment.
- Repair and maintain vehicles/cranes, with little supervision
- Fleet knowledge is kept current progressive through on the job training/learning
- Maintain work area of shop to meet health and safety standards
- Communicate issues/concerns to managers as needed
- As this is sometimes both a shop and field role, Mechanics must be able to work independently
