Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Production Floater to support multiple manufacturing and machining operations within a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on role requiring a highly adaptable individual who can operate a variety of automated and manual equipment while maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety standards. The successful candidate will bring strong machining experience, excellent attention to detail, and the flexibility to work across different production areas and rotating shifts.

Compensation: $26.76 an hour+ yearly pay increases
Shift Premiums: Afternoons $0.85/hour and Midnights $1.00/hour

Shift Structure: This role operates Mon-Fri on a 2-week rotating shift pattern of three shifts, which includes:
- Days 7:30am to 3:30pm
- Afternoons 3:30pm to 11:30pm
- Nights 11:30pm to 7:30am
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation
- Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment, including CNC lathes, welders, and presses across automated and manual production lines.
- Load and unload materials and components safely and accurately.
- Perform basic cutting tool changes to ensure efficient production flow.
- Monitor machine performance and address minor equipment issues within the scope of training.
- Follow established preventative maintenance programs to support equipment reliability and uptime.
Quality Control & Inspection
- Conduct quality inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment including:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Go/No-Go Gauges
- Length Gauges
- Bore Gauges
- Ensure work-in-progress and finished products meet quality standards.
- Complete all required quality and production documentation accurately and on time.
Production Support & Flexibility
- Transition seamlessly between various production cells and manufacturing lines based on operational requirements.
- Support changing production priorities while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
- Assist in training and mentoring team members as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and overall operational efficiency.
Health & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Immediately report safety concerns, equipment issues, or process risks.
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safe work practices.
Requirements/Qualifications:
· Must have Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
· Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery in a production environment.
· Strong experience operating CNC lathes, automated production equipment, or similar machinery.
· Experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting is considered an asset.
· Proficiency using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and specialized gauges.
· Ability to perform basic tooling changes and preventative maintenance activities.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
· Ability to work a rotating shift schedule including days, afternoons, and nights.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Flexible, dependable, and comfortable working across multiple production areas.
· Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
