We’re hiring a Routes Driver for our Ancaster team. You’ll be part of a team who is responsible to ensure products reach their destinations in good condition and on-time.
What you’ll do
- Transport Goods: Drive an AZ-class truck to transport cargo to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
- Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Compliance: Adhere to all provincial and federal transportation regulations, including hours of service, load security, and vehicle maintenance.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and any incidents or delays.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safe handling and transportation of goods.
- Communication: Report any mechanical issues, delays, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned truck – Responsible to clean designated vehicle 1 time per week
- Designated vehicle, ensure that: Oil is changed every 5,000 KM, all mechanical issues are reported immediately, there is regular ongoing preventative maintenance
- General housekeeping /warehouse duties
- Work in accordance with company Mission Statement, Employee Handbook and Procedure Manual
- Keep up to date with and conform to all corporate policies and procedures, specifically, but not limited to: Bio Shipping Procedures, Warehouse Procedure
- Maintain a strict code of confidentiality concerning Plant Products business activities and all related affairs including but not limited to knowledge specific to Plant Products customers and their businesses
Who you are
- Must have a valid AZ license
What you’ve done
- Minimum 2 years of AZ driving
