Legal Assistant — Johnstone & Johnstone LLP
Johnstone & Johnstone LLP is a boutique Labour and Employment Law firm located in London, Ontario and is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Legal Assistant.
This role involves supporting the daily operations of the firm, assisting lawyers with administrative and legal tasks, and contributing to overall office efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative and clerical support
- Answer a multi-line phone system professionally and direct calls appropriately
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and appointments, including logistics and correspondence
- Maintain calendars, track deadlines, and monitor timelines
- Manage legal documentation with strict confidentiality
- Assist with preparation of legal documents and correspondence
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant legal assistant experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with legal accounting or practice management software
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude
