Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and creating a welcoming environment for all customers. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases using POS systems
- Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments accurately and securely
- Provide product information, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure efficient checkout processes
- Uphold store policies on cash handling, returns, and exchanges
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized checkout area and store environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cashiering, retail sales, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Spanish or other languages are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, basic math skills, and cash handling procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
- Ability to perform product demos and engage customers through upselling techniques
- Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and retail operations is advantageous
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
