Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be capable of performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and quality are prioritized.
Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on machinery and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Assist with installation of new equipment and upgrades
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and reduce downtime
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role involving mechanical systems
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various machinery and equipment
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact wrenches is preferred
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Apprenticeship
Pay: $16.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
