Staff Plus is hiring an experienced CNC Router Operator for a temporary manufacturing opportunity in Richmond Hill.
In this role, you will operate an AXYZ CNC routing machine, load materials, adjust tooling and machine settings, and inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.
This opportunity is well suited to someone with previous CNC machine-operating, routing or digital-cutting experience who is mechanically inclined and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario
Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour
Shift: 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
Training Shift: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Assignment Length: Approximately one to three months
Responsibilities
- Operating an WXYZ (CNC) Machine.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate parts.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC machinery and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Load raw materials, change tooling as required, and maintain production efficiency.
- Follow all safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
What You Bring
- Previous CNC machine-operating or manufacturing experience
- Experience operating a CNC router or digital cutting machine
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings or production specifications
- Experience setting up tooling and making basic machine adjustments
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify quality concerns
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to maintain quality and production standards in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain on your feet throughout the shift
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team
Experience operating an AXYZ or similar CNC routing system is considered an asset.
