Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a key member of our management team, the Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and efficiency. Duties
- Assist in supervising kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation personnel, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices
- Support the development and implementation of menu items, recipes, and plating standards
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation protocols are followed at all times
- Coordinate with restaurant management to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Train and mentor team members to enhance skills in food service, kitchen techniques, and safety procedures
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and control waste to optimize kitchen efficiency
- Serve as a leader on the floor during service hours, providing guidance and support to staff as needed
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Extensive restaurant management experience preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable

Pay: $41,768.81-$68,447.35 per year
