Part-Time Veterinary Client Service Representative

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our veterinary team on a part-time basis. This position will require Mondays as a regular scheduled shift, with additional hours available as required to support clinic operations, vacation coverage, and busy periods.
As the first point of contact for our clients and patients, the ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, professional, warm, and committed to providing exceptional client service in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

Long Beach Veterinary Hospital is a privately-owned, community based veterinary hospital in the heart of the beautiful Town of Wasaga Beach. We’re a team that genuinely cares about the animals, people, and the community we serve.
As a fully functioning veterinary hospital we offer a full range of services from wellness and preventative medicine, diagnostic medicine, surgery, chronic illness management, palliative care, and more. Since opening in 2023, we have expanded our staff and services and are looking to continue creating a well-rounded and inclusive team while providing well-rounded and inclusive medicine.

Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Veterinary Client Service Representative
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a high pressure situation
- Experience handling multiple phone lines and managing a busy reception area
- Proficiency with computers and veterinary practice management software
- Ability to work independently and as a team with a self-starter attitude
Preferred
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician Assistant
- Able to restrain animals and assist with procedures in exam rooms or treatment area
- Experience using ezyVet software
Responsibilities
- Greeting clients and patients in a professional and welcoming manner, serving as the primary point of contact
- Providing exceptional, empathetic, and compassionate client service
- Answering and directing phone calls, responding promptly to client inquiries and providing accurate information
- Managing client communications via phone, email, and text messaging
- Managing client accounts, including updating records
- Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions and transactions
- Scheduling appointments and managing daily appointment flow
- Checking patients in and out of appointments
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate financials records
- Updating and maintaining accurate patient medical records
- Coordinating prescription refill requests and client follow-up communications
- Assisting with administrative tasks, filing, inventory, and record management
- Supporting veterinarians and support staff with client communication and workflow coordination
- Contributing to ongoing improvements in enhancing client satisfaction
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional reception area
- Uphold and reflect our clinic’s values in every client interaction
Schedule
- Part-time
- Mondays required
- Additional shifts and hours as discussed, including occasional Saturday availability as required
