Senior Security Analyst / Security Architect
Location: Ottawa, Canada
Work Site: Onsite/Client Site (Ottawa)
Security Clearance: Active and valid Government of Canada Secret Clearance (Mandatory)
Contract will start as a 6-to-12-month engagement with the strong potential of an extension.
MUST be SECRET cleared and the work will be a hybrid one with the expectation of being onsite twice a week here in Ottawa.
Required Experience
-
10+ years of experience in:
-
Security Architecture
-
Security Implementation
-
Security Service Support
-
Experience supporting complex enterprise solutions consisting of:
-
Two (2) or more integrated software applications
-
Virtual 3-tier architecture environments (UI, Logic, and Data layers) or larger platforms
-
Minimum 18 months of project experience within the last 60 months supporting solutions that leverage:
-
Citrix Thin-Client Architecture
-
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
-
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
-
Demonstrated experience configuring and managing security environments for a minimum of 3 years.
-
IT system security (which includes Network security and Application security),
-
Endpoint protection software,
-
Multi-factor authentication,
-
Firewalls, and
-
Virtual Private Networks (VPN).
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
-
Experience working with the Department of National Defence (DND) or a DND ecosystem partner.
-
Valid/Current VCR (Reliability/Verification Clearance as applicable).
-
Experience facilitating security workshops.
-
ITIL Certification.
-
Strong stakeholder communication and security governance experience.
The proposed resource should demonstrate experience in system security, that includes all of the following activities:
-
Security Performance monitoring;
-
Identifying security deficiencies; and
-
Improving security and performance.
The proposed resource should demonstrate experience completing at least one Options Analysis for new functionality. Each Options Analysis includes all of the following:
-
Evaluation of system security for two (2) or more solutions that meet a stated business objective;
-
An impact assessment on the current solution;
-
An estimate and level of effort (LOE) for each identified option, and A recommendation.
The proposed resource should demonstrate experience in the installation, integration, configuration, and maintenance of Citrix XenApp 6 or later.
The proposed resource should demonstrate experience in information system trouble shooting, that includes all of the following activities:

Documented Diagnosis;

Documented Problem Analysis; and
-
Documented Recommendations.
