As a Skilled Labourer, you’ll help create durable concrete products used in homes, businesses, and major construction projects. This isn’t a “stand around” job—it's hands-on, practical work where effort and skill show.
What you’ll do
You’ll work with a crew to manufacture precast concrete products by:
- Pouring, finishing, and curing concrete to spec
- Preparing molds (cleaning, oiling, assembling) and helping with setup/take-down
- Using equipment like mixers, molds, and vibrating tools
- Doing basic maintenance on molds/tools and keeping the area organized
- Inspecting products for quality and reporting issues
- Loading/unloading materials and helping move items around the plant
- Keeping a clean, safe work environment
- Using basic tech (phone/tablet/computer) to follow instructions, track tasks, or report information
Must-haves
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Excellent attendance and dependability
- Comfortable with technology (basic apps/tools on a phone/tablet/computer)
- Comfortable with physical work (lifting, carrying, repetitive tasks)
Nice-to-haves (but not required)
- Precast or concrete experience
- Blueprint reading
- Carpentry or general construction skills
