Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cabinet Installer/Assembler to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assembling, installing, and finishing cabinets and related millwork in residential and commercial spaces. Your expertise will help transform spaces by delivering high-quality craftsmanship, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining safety standards on every project. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise cabinet assembly and installation.
- Assemble cabinets, countertops, and custom millwork using hand tools and power tools with accuracy and efficiency.
- Install cabinets securely on walls or floors, ensuring proper alignment, leveling, and finishing touches.
- Perform related tasks such as drywall patching, caulking, sanding, painting touch-ups, and minor electrical or plumbing adjustments as needed for seamless integration.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to coordinate schedules and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with other construction tasks such as flooring installation, tile laying, rebar installation, or siding when required to support team efforts.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate assembly and installation.
- Experience with various construction techniques including drywall finishing, concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, and rebar installation.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, hammers, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills, sanders) for precise craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of woodworking principles relevant to cabinet making and furniture assembly.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks consistently.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material needs and project timelines.
- Strong background in carpentry combined with handyman experience is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems for minor adjustments during installations.
