Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Lethbridge is looking for a motivated Drain Cleaner / Plumber’s Helper to join our growing team. No plumbing experience is required — we’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
We’ll provide the training, tools, and support you need to get started, with opportunities to grow into more advanced plumbing and service roles.
What You’ll Do
As a Drain Cleaner / Plumber’s Helper, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians while learning the plumbing and drain-cleaning industry. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with residential and commercial drain cleaning
- Learning to operate professional drain-cleaning equipment
- Assisting with sewer camera inspections and locating equipment
- Supporting plumbers with repairs, installations, and other plumbing work
- Setting up, protecting, and cleaning job sites
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and service vehicles
- Communicating professionally and respectfully with customers
- Following company safety procedures and service standards
- Helping wherever needed to keep jobs moving efficiently
What We’re Looking For
Experience is not required. We will train the right person.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Is dependable, punctual, and ready to work
- Enjoys hands-on work and solving problems
- Is mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools
- Is willing to learn and take direction
- Takes pride in doing quality work
- Communicates well and is comfortable interacting with customers
- Can perform physically demanding work and lift 50+ lbs
- Holds a valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Has a clean 3-year driving record
- Is available to participate in an on-call rotation after completing training
Previous construction, mechanical, plumbing, farming, automotive, equipment, or other hands-on experience is an asset, but not required.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Primarily Monday to Friday
- Some evening and weekend work
- Participation in an on-call rotation after training
