Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver/Construction Helper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport materials and equipment to various job sites, while also assisting with construction-related tasks on-site. Your energetic approach and strong work ethic will contribute to the smooth progress of construction projects, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient support for the construction crew. Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks and other commercial vehicles to move materials, tools, and equipment between locations
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo using forklifts or manual lifting, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures
- Support the construction team by helping with site preparation, material staging, and cleanup activities
- Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and site supervisors to coordinate deliveries and work tasks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and safety documentation
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations during transportation and on-site activities
- Use forklifts or other machinery as needed to facilitate material movement around the job site
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not required
- Experience in moving or transporting materials in a construction or warehouse setting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Familiarity with forklift operation is preferred; certification is a bonus
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors
- Previous warehouse experience or knowledge of construction sites is highly desirable
- Good physical stamina, attention to safety standards, and a proactive attitude toward teamwork
