Job Summary
The TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welder is responsible for performing precision welding tasks on a variety of metal components, ensuring high-quality joints and finishes according to technical specifications. This position requires attention to detail, strong hand-eye coordination, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals according to project requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine job specifications.
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
- Grind, clean, and prepare metal surfaces before and after welding.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, clean work area.
- Collaborate with team members to complete fabrication or repair projects on schedule.
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a TIG welder or equivalent certification in welding.
- Proficient in TIG welding techniques for different metals (stainless steel, aluminum, etc.).
- Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and precision.
- Welding certifications (CWB or equivalent) are an asset.
