Summary
We are seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Canada. Based in, this role is vital in ensuring the efficient movement and management of materials within our manufacturing and warehouse facilities. Contribute to our mission of creating exceptional seating experiences for venues around the globe.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities and duties will vary with the Shipping & Receiving areas of
- expertise.
- Packaging; to include skid construction, boxing crating, shrink wrapping and strapping of finished products to be shipped.
- Loading and unloading of shipments and to verify against bills of lading for accuracy, shipping documents, worked on as well as all appropriate personal protective equipment and guards are in place.
- Required to schedule distribution of goods; prepare bills of lading and other
- Able to effectively communicate with the internal and external customers.
- Ensure safety procedures are adhered to for each piece of equipment being
- Maintain shipping/receiving area is clean and clear of hazards.
- Prepare shipping logistics including customs and freight co-ordination.
- Prepare packing slips and shipping labels.
- Audit and verify product condition with pictures.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving.
- Mechanical knowledge and experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Construction or related experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
