Junior Data Analyst – Payroll Systems (Contract)

Our client is seeking a Junior Data Analyst with strong IT skills to support a payroll systems integration project. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology, large datasets, and system implementations. You will play a key role in helping consolidate payroll data, support system integration, and ensure data accuracy throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities
- Support payroll data migration and system integration initiatives.
- Analyze, validate, and reconcile payroll data from multiple systems.
- Assist with merging company data during payroll and technology integrations.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data inconsistencies.
- Work closely with Payroll, IT, and project stakeholders to ensure a successful implementation.
- Prepare reports and analyze data to support project decisions.
- Document processes, workflows, and data mapping.
- Help test system functionality and validate data following system migrations.
- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive payroll information.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong IT aptitude with an interest in systems implementation and data management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data validation.
- Experience with SQL, databases, Power BI, or other reporting tools is considered an asset.
- Understanding of data migration, system integration, or ERP/payroll software is an asset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Previous experience supporting payroll, HRIS, or financial systems is considered an asset.
