Triple Trans Mill Services Limited is a growing transportation company specializing in scrap metal hauling throughout Ontario, Quebec, Michigan, and New York. We operate a large fleet of dump trailers and are committed to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services to our customers.
We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Dispatcher to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispatching drivers, coordinating loads, maintaining communication with customers and drivers, and ensuring efficient daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch and Assign daily loads and provide accurate instructions to drivers.
- Maintain constant communication with drivers throughout the day regarding pickups, deliveries, appointments, and route updates.
- Monitor driver progress and ensure on-time service for all customer deliveries.
- Update load information, dispatch notes, and customer instructions within TTMS.
- Coordinate trailer movements and maximize equipment utilization.
- Optimize routes to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Work closely with customers by providing shipment updates and resolving service-related concerns professionally.
- Monitor driver Hours of Service (HOS) and assist with scheduling to ensure compliance.
- Respond quickly to delays, traffic, breakdowns, weather conditions, and other operational challenges.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and daily operational reports.
- Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure all customer commitments are met.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation standards.
Qualifications
- Previous dispatch experience in the transportation - Minimun 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario highways and roadways.
- Knowledge of Quebec, Michigan, and New York transportation routes is considered an asset.
- Understanding of cross-border transportation and customs procedures is an asset.
- Experience using transportation management systems is preferred.
- Experience using Samsara or other GPS fleet management software is considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
- Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional telephone etiquette and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours and longer shifts when operational requirements demand.

Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
