Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier Counter Service Restaurant team member to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food industry environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately handling transactions, assisting customers with their orders, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food handling and safety protocols are preferred. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food service, cashiering, and customer relations while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and courteously as they approach the counter
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Square and Clover
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments efficiently and accurately
- Provide drinks and bag orders as needed, following proper sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area and order pickup area
- Provide pagers to customers and notify customers when orders are ready for pick up
- Assist in restocking supplies and organizing the service area for smooth operations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Skills
- Experience with Food Preparation, Food Service, and Food Handling techniques
- Proficiency in POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cash register technology
- Strong Time Management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent Customer Service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude
- Basic Math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Knowledge of Food Safety, Sanitation, and Kitchen Safety protocols
- Food Handler Certification is not required, however, preference will be given to candidates who posess a valid Food Handler Certificate
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest experience
- Restaurant Experience or background in the Food Industry is preferred but not required
- Serving experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with hospitality standards

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
