Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Welding Inspector to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding processes meet industry standards and specifications. This role requires a strong background in quality control and inspection techniques, as well as the ability to analyze data effectively. The Welding Inspector will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our fabricated products through rigorous quality management practices. We currently have 2 availabilities for this role with an expected pay range of $25-$35/hr
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of welded components and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Utilize various measurement tools, including calipers, to assess the dimensions and integrity of welds.
- Perform quality assurance (QA/QC) checks throughout the fabrication process, documenting findings and discrepancies.
- Analyze inspection data and generate reports to communicate results to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with fabrication teams to provide guidance on best practices for welding techniques and quality management.
- Identify areas for improvement in welding processes and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions taken.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality inspection within a welding or fabrication environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles, including QA/QC methodologies.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers for precise data collection.
- Ability to analyze inspection results and make informed decisions based on findings.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards related to welding and fabrication is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members.
